Hmm, are your first two names from a certain place (Wales/Ireland etc)? I've never heard of either of them, so not sure they go totally with Star. Maybe go for a third from the same region to keep the theme?

Out of interest how do you pronounce the names?

VolAuVent · 09/07/2012 13:26

Joy
Claire
Grace
Faith
Bess
Anne
Faye
Jade

If you don't mind extra syllables there are lots more which could fit nicely...

Elodie Eia Catherine
Elodie Eia Sara
Elodie Eia Juliet
Elodie Eia Bethany
Elodie Eia Serena

Elodie is French and pronounced like melody. Eia is Cornish and pronounced Aya.

Why 2 middle names? It's excessive and especially with no meaningful reason (eg. Relatives name). It seems to have become really popular to give loads of middle names, bit self indulgent.

hypoxia · 13/07/2012 16:02

We gave DC2 two middle names because DC1 has two middle names and we wanted them to 'match'! The only reason DC1 has two middle names was because we couldn't decide between two 'family' names so gave him both of them! So yeah, self-indulgent :D

Scarredbutnotbroken · 14/07/2012 16:10

Krumbum - I wasn't asking for feedback on quantity of middle names. Got an axe to grind?

Personally I have always wanted to use the name Bloom as a mn, however my married name sounds absolutely ridiculous with it. :( I think it sounds really pretty with your names, though. Two middle names is not excessive, especially when you consider several (Polynesian) families I know routinely give their kids 5 or 6!

Krumbum · 14/07/2012 18:31

No I have one middle name. I just don't understand why so many kids have load of middle names atm, what is the purpose of it? Who does it benefit?

5madthings · 14/07/2012 18:47

well she doesnt have to have 2 middle names, if you cant find one you like or has meaning. we have 5 children the eldest has two middle names after his granddads and no 5 the only girl also has 2 we couldnt choose between the two we liked. the middle 3 are not bothered that htey only have one middle name each!

if you find one you really like then yes go for it, if not i wouldnt be bothered by her having one less name than her siblings :)
