Think I have found the name for DD2. What do you think and does it go ok with Jessica?

I love the name Cass, as I am a fan of Mama Cass, but Cassia is a new one
as I have only heard it as the name of one of Boris Johnson's
daughters. That should be a plus, as I'm sure he has good taste. His daughter's full name is Cassia Peaches. How do I know? Just a bit of an anorak I suppose.

I don't know if it goes with Jessica, as they share a lot of the same letters.
If you like it - go for it!

Lovely name! Very pretty, yet not contrived, OTT or try-hard. Yes, it sounds nice with Jessica. Cass and Jess as nns would be great also!

youonlysingwhenyourewinning · 08/07/2012 18:51

Is its ca-see-a or cash-a?

doblet · 08/07/2012 19:01

Ca-see-a. Don't like cash-a at all!

Glad it's Ca-see-a :)

Cash-a sounds a lazy way to say the word, somehow, as if you couldn't be bothered to say 3 syllables!

yomellamoHelly · 08/07/2012 19:13

Love it. Pretty and classical to me. + Not too common.

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 08/07/2012 19:14

I would have pronounced it cash-a, so think there is a chance you will need to correct people sometimes.
cas-see-a air lovely too.

HeadfirstForRomance · 08/07/2012 20:20

Cassia is nice, I like Cassandra too.

youonlysingwhenyourewinning · 08/07/2012 21:55

Ca-see-a is gorgeous.

I would have automatically pn it Cash-a, but then I like that pn too.

I agree with Formerly - you may have to correct people quite a lot.

MumbleMumm · 08/07/2012 21:58

I'm sorry - but I think Cassia sounds like the name of a 1980's stereo system... Love the name Jessica though - so much so I have a dd called that too :-)

tammy234 · 08/07/2012 22:01

I think Jessica/Jess and Cassia are too 's'y together.

Jessica and Caroline would be much nicer, for example.

mrsbugsywugsy · 08/07/2012 22:03

I like it but would also have guessed cash-a

I know a Kasia who pronounces it that way - i think it's quite a popular Polish name

SrirachaGirl · 08/07/2012 22:05

I LOVE the name Cassia. Classic, pretty, solid and ever-so-slightly Mediterranean. You'll have a Jess and a Cass though...if you're OK with that, go for it! (I think it's lovely).

madmomma · 08/07/2012 22:11

Oh it's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. My favourite girls name ever. I wanted to call my last daughter Cassia, but in the end we went with Laila. Still kind of regret it a bit, even though I love Laila too.

freerangeeggs · 08/07/2012 22:56

I think it's really gorgeous. Cassie and Cass are lovely nicknames too, suitable for a baby, a teenager or an adult.

You should defo not use it, so that I can have it all to myself Grin

VolAuVent · 09/07/2012 08:12

"Cassia sounds like the name of a 1980's stereo system"

How retro and cool is that? :o

squoosh · 09/07/2012 10:35

I love it and like both pronounciations.

Kasia (cash-a) is very common in Poland, think it is their form of Katy.

DottieRose · 09/07/2012 21:27

I really like it.....not common and goes nicely with Jessica

NappiesandGladrags · 09/07/2012 23:07

I think it's a little too close to Jessica

How about Cassandra and Cassia as nn
