Tis criminally underused, I'm not sure why. . Syl for short? what do you think?

I considered it for DS2. I really like it but I'm obsessed with my DC having easy to spell first names to it got the boot.

it isn't the easiest name to spell!

My friend is a nursery nurse. You can get a lot of confidence from being able to write your name young (Ellie or Scott etc).

You also save a lot of time correcting people when you're older if you're an accepted spelling of Edward or Bella or whatever.

Mattered to me because I've been at the wrong end of it with my own name, might not matter to you though!

Was my maiden name - I got called Stallone or Sylvester the cat on a daily basis through school! Don't make it a first name trust me it's no fun

Sylvester Stallone is a great name imo!

Sylvester is most excellent. I'd never even entertained it, but now I think about it, I love it! Action heros and cats are hardly the world's worst possible associations
