What do you think of:

Alannah McNulty
April McNulty
Andrea McNulty

I think Alannah is best, 3 syllables mirrors 3 syllables and the L sound is in the first name and surname. What do you think? I'm not sure

I love April, like Alanna, dislike Andrea.

Mollydoggerson · 01/07/2012 20:22

Would an April have to be born in April?

I like Alannah the best.

My Gran was called May, but not born in May. Even aged 90 she questioned her mother's sanity with her name choice :o

MammaTonic · 01/07/2012 20:27

Alannah McNulty flows best, but I prefer Andrea from your list of options, OP.

VolAuVent · 01/07/2012 20:40

Alannah is a lovely name and goes well with your surname. April is very nice but I think best for an April baby. Not so keen on Andrea.

manicinsomniac · 01/07/2012 20:58

Agree with others - Alannah lovely, April nice, not keen on Andrea.

joyciegirl · 01/07/2012 22:01

Alannah not my fave name but sound ok with your surname as would Mariah!

M0naLisa · 01/07/2012 22:43

Devora · 01/07/2012 22:49

I like Andrea best on your list, but Anna even more.

DottieRose · 01/07/2012 23:10

Andreais awful! The other two are nice!

DottieRose · 01/07/2012 23:11

Andrea

birdofthenorth · 02/07/2012 08:34

Andrea! Lovely, classic but rare these days

Daya · 02/07/2012 08:43

April is nice but only if born in April.

Alannah is very nice and underused.

Andrea is dated, it's nice if pronounced the Euro way An-DREY-a buy it won't be in the UK so I really dislike it.

tigrou · 02/07/2012 09:10

I was going to say April no contest. It's so fresh, flowerly and bright, just like spring! But I think Alannah sounds better with your surname.

minipie · 02/07/2012 10:53

I like Andrea best. Never been very keen on Alannah, sorry. April is ok.

Stellan · 02/07/2012 11:09

April is probably best for an April baby but I quite do like it.

Andrea is very dated.

Alannah would be my pick but I'd probably spell it Alana. However, Behind the Name suggests that the Alannah spelling has been influenced by the affectionate Anglo-Irish word alannah, from the Irish Gaelic phrase a leanbh meaning 'O child', which I appreciate might have been why you chose this spelling.
