Summer definitely over Blossom. Blossom seems a bit try-hard.

lisaro · 24/06/2012 20:16

Both truly awful - don't.

MrsJohnDeere · 24/06/2012 20:22

Not my cup of tea, but Summer is less awful than Blossom.

BardOfBarking · 24/06/2012 20:29

Blossom is icky. When you try saying it in a cross voice it sounds as if you are chastising a cat. But still, perhaps her friends will shorten it to Blossie. Grin

BerryCheesecake · 24/06/2012 20:32

Summer :)

smokeandglitter · 26/06/2012 10:37

I like Blossom.

I've known lovely people named Blossom. I think lots of the usual names are really dull, I do like Summer but Blossom tops it for me. Smile

Olive28 · 26/06/2012 12:07

Would Blossom suit a female professional bodybuilder or motorcycling coach?

Viviennemary · 26/06/2012 12:46

I don't really think of them as names. Though this might change if they are used more.

cheesesarnie · 27/06/2012 21:49

olive- what name would you suggest to suit those professions?Hmm

smogwod · 27/06/2012 21:54

Neither, sorry!

WithACherryOnTop · 27/06/2012 22:44

Summer.

Olive28 · 27/06/2012 22:49

cheesesarnie I didn't comment on the names either way, I just asked the question to open up more debate...

shrimponastick · 27/06/2012 22:53

Neither.

Sorry.

WetAugust · 27/06/2012 22:57

Are you naming guinea pigs?

ladymariner · 27/06/2012 23:10

WetAugust Grin

galletti · 27/06/2012 23:12

Summer for me.

EllenParsons · 28/06/2012 01:50

Summer

piprabbit · 28/06/2012 02:28

My GPs had a dog called Blossom.
I know from bitter experience that it is impossible to yell "Blossom" across a crowded park and retain any dignity or self-respect.

Blossom is a nick my mum has for me.

Summer is pretty.

RubyFakeNails · 28/06/2012 03:52

Blossom is nice but I prefer Summer as well... I think I'd feel a bit of a tit shouting Blossom across Topshop in 10 years (based on the times I most frequently shout my DD1s name)

Blossom - loved the TV series

Summer - went to uni with one so it has conotations for me.

cheesesarnie · 28/06/2012 10:25

olive- no i know you didn't, i just wondered when people ask that- do they have a name in mind that would suit those professions.

bradbourne · 28/06/2012 11:06

They're kind of pretty but.....

Bonnie sounds similar but is a bit less "out there", maybe.
