How popular is Dylan?

DH and I have been struggling to find a boy's name we both like. We have just agreed in Dylan. How popular is it near you in terms of babies under 1yr and where do you live?

My Dylan is 5.8 and there's one other in his year at school, of 90 children. I've heard it in the local park once too. So nor unique, but not too popular either.

I know one six year old, one eight year old, and have met a couple of babies/toddlers. Nice name especially if named after Dylan Thomas!

I know 5 locally, and two others in nearby villages, but I live in Wales :) Suspect it's a good bit more popular here!

There is one Dylan and one Dillon in ds's class of 27.

I only know one, he's one.

I only know 2 and they are 10 and 11, don't think it is as common/popular as it once was.

I know loads, it's very popular round here.

There is 2 in my DD's class of 28, and one above her, so pretty common here

My DS is 5 months old and is called Dylan. We love the name!

Lovely name :) I don't know any young Dylans (or any old ones!)

it is very popular and more often or not mispronounced as 'Dillon'. the correct Welsh pronunciation is 'dull-ann', which IMHO is nicer.

It was the 16th most popular baby name in England and Wales in 2010 and is continuing to rise in popularity. It is gorgeous though. Love it.

Only one in our school and he is 10

I don't live in the UK, so imagine my surprise at the 4 week check at the HV to not be the only mother to a 4 week old Dylan in the room! ;)

Then I came across one last week in the street next to ours.

Common as muck it seems!
