Middle name for Evelyn

Ok, so after much thought (and many thread on here!) we might have decided on Evelyn. There are other possibilities, but in those cases Evelyn would be a middle name.

So if I get my way we go for Evelyn, any good suggestions for middle names?

My daughter is Evelyn Alice and I think it's beautiful!

QueenElizaBeatHer · 21/06/2012 21:32

Definately Rose.

Yeah, I was thinking one syllable as well, maybe because Evelyn is pretty long (but pretty!!! I really like it) so something short in the middle, although I suppose maybe it depends on what you like with your last name? Perhaps Grace (but I like Rose like raining said as well). Although I'm a sucker for something a bit seasonal, like for example if she was born in May then May would work (obv I know you're not due in May). Woooo! Exciting!

It does, of course, depend on your preferred pronunciation - duh is Irish so a short eh at the beginning works for us. If you are going to use an ee sound then single syllable names would work better.

I love Evelyn Rose. Just need to work on dh.

Joy?

raininginbaltimore · 21/06/2012 21:43

It would be eh-ve-lyn, as opposed to long ee-ve-lyn.

My grandmother was Evelyn Rose. I have always thought it was a lovely name. I wanted DD to be Evelyn Alice, but couldn't convince DH.

raininginbaltimore · 21/06/2012 22:02

Alice is actually one of my our other names!
