Yay or Nay?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Rumours · 16/06/2012 16:55

Nay for me, but if you like it then go for it Smile

nizlopi · 16/06/2012 17:17

Isn't that the name of the Goblin King in Labyrinth?

nizlopi · 16/06/2012 17:18

No, wait. Thats Jareth.

Don't call your son either.

Rumours · 16/06/2012 17:19

I thought that was Jareth?

FriskyMare · 16/06/2012 17:20

Like Toadie in neighbours?
No from me, sorry.

Mintyy · 16/06/2012 17:24

Not one of my faves, I'm afraid.

Ambrosius · 16/06/2012 17:30

Love it.! :)

Stellan · 16/06/2012 17:31

I know it's an Old Testament name but I can't help but think it sounds really American to me!

Stannwigg · 16/06/2012 17:31

I love it too!

StepOutOfSpring · 16/06/2012 17:42

Yes, quite nice.

PercyFilth · 16/06/2012 18:40

I like it, but latterly there have been a number of celebs (well, people in the public eye) with the name which might slightly put me off. Another of those names I would have happily used 20 years ago and been different!

Staceisace · 16/06/2012 18:45

It's a nay from me, sorry!

WithACherryOnTop · 16/06/2012 19:39

Nay.

MarySA · 16/06/2012 19:49

I don't like it. But I've heard a lot worse.

usualsuspect · 16/06/2012 19:54

I love it , ome of my favorite boys names ever

bouncysmiley · 16/06/2012 20:13

Ooh no! (sorry)

AdventuresWithVoles · 16/06/2012 20:14

Meh.

Pearla · 16/06/2012 20:19

As in Leto, as in Jordan Catalano? Love it. :)

Booette · 16/06/2012 20:39

I like it. I did know a Jared, but I didn't like him. It obviously didn't put me off the name though as it was on the list with one of mine.

BlackCatsAndPurpleDogs · 16/06/2012 21:41

I love this name!
Have always found it sort of 'cool' and almost exotic.

MamaLazarou · 17/06/2012 15:05

Jared is an excellent name.

clinkclink · 18/06/2012 21:28

Yes, great name. I knew a Jared who was a v cool boy, and have always liked this name.

jocie · 18/06/2012 21:32

i have a Jared so obv think its a great name! we chose it cos ist not that common. although lots of celab and prob used quite a lot in america, we have never come across another Jared so far.

AKMD · 19/06/2012 12:14

I've got one. Prepare for him to be called Gerrard.

Fab name though :)

PorkyandBess · 19/06/2012 12:18

I know a Jared, he is called Jad for short.

He is a tosser, which clouds my opinion of the name.
