friend just named new baby this. Not a Welsh family.
Like or not? think the wee soul will spend the rest of his life spelling it.

Never heard of it (and I am a Welsh speaker)
Will they say the ll in the Welsh way, I wonder, or will be pr. Lewin?

he pronounced it Lewin when he told me over the phone. I thought he said Euan and asked him to repeat it. Don't think I'll be the last

I know a 2 year old Llewyn. He is absolutely gorgeous and no problem spelling/pronouncing as yet.

Do you mean Llewyn or do you mean Llewellyn?
I also have never heard of this (I'm welsh) did a quick google and not sure it's a name at all. It is part of the title of a new Coen brothers film though :)
There is also an English name Lewin....are they saying it like that or are they expecting everyone to pop tongue to roof of mouth and make the proper 'll' sound?!
Either way not a fan as it sounds a nightmare all round (spelling/people questioning whether it's Llewellyn/pronunciation etc.)
