Help me choose please.

Dc4 due Sept. Have already used our favourite names but have shortlisted the following:

Mabel
Florence
Harriet
Clementine

(already have an Alice)

Jasper
Edward
Rupert
Walter

Any thoughts?

I love Harriet and Edward! I like Jasper too, but it is too close to the French verb for "to bark" so I much prefer Caspar.
The others are just fine but the 3 above are great names IMO.

Harriet and Walter or Rupert.
I don't like any of the other girls names.

Mabel is gorgeous, and I love Hattie as a nickname for Harriet. The other two are also pretty but not my favourites.

Love Rupert. Jasper is okay, Edward is soooo dull, and I really don't like Walter. Wally as a nickname? Not good.

Mabel and Walter are my favourites from your list. Tough call though - excellent shortlists!

Florence and Clementine both lovely :) Harriet fine too, nice classic name. Mabel is a bit faddy.

Jasper and Edward both nice, also like Walter as it's different but not unknown, and perhaps due a comeback. Rupert is a bit too staid-posh.

With the exception of Walter I love all of them. I do know a baby Walter though!

Thanks all. We already have an Alice, Freddie and Bertie (Albert). Which names from the list do you think work best? Have avoided any with an ie ending.

Any other suggestions too of a similar style?

Love Mabel, Florence and Rupert. Fantastic choices. I am also fond of Amabel...

They are all pretty cute names. I'd say Mabel is my least favourite of your girls, Harriet would be my preferred name and of the boys maybe Edward (safer) but I rather like Rupert - I know a couple of cool Ruperts!

I also love the nickname 'Roo', lovely for a child and great for a teenager.

I'm not keen on Walter (Beano fan!) but I like the others.
