Just whacking this in there as a suggestion for anybody birthing atm.

My great-grandmother was born in Queen Victoria's Golden jubilee year. Her name?

Amelia (fine)

Emma (yes, very nice)

Jubilee (wtf)

Victoria (overkill)

She reacted against this and called her dds Joan and Vera. No middle names.

But still it's out there as a possible.....Grin

HTH!

Jubilee is a lovely name .

PrunellaDeVille · 01/06/2012 21:06

there's been quite a bit of it through history, this is very appropriate
i particularly enjoy Mr Jubilee Waterloo

QueenEdith · 01/06/2012 21:53

I think Jubilee would be a fantastic middle name!

nearlymumofone · 01/06/2012 22:47

I kinda like Elizabeth- but not if it's going to be in the top 10 this year. Is that a given do you think?

Northernlurker · 01/06/2012 23:01

I possibly should mention that my middle name is Elizabeth - want to guess the year I was born?

SPB - NO announcements here. I've shut up shop on babies.

A friend of mine once had an African boyfriend whose name was Jubilee.

eatyourveg · 02/06/2012 17:07

I was wondering if anyone would resurrect Queenie.

TuesdayNightClub · 02/06/2012 17:25

I do actually know someone with the middle name Jubilee. I
And her first name is even stranger, seriously! Confused Now that I know her well and she is completely lovely, she suits her name and I'm used to it.

wildstrawberryplace · 02/06/2012 17:26

Is her first name Cherries? Wink

DottieRose · 02/06/2012 17:38

Lovely name

TuesdayNightClub · 03/06/2012 10:53

Not cherries that would be less odd

savoycabbage · 03/06/2012 10:58

There was a girl in my class at school called Queen Elizabeth. She wasn't born in a jubilee year or anything.

NarkedRaspberry · 03/06/2012 12:51

I was going to say it's the hormones talking but as you're not pregnant,

Oh sometimes I soooo wish there was a 'like' button like on FB. Psammead I love your list of names for 2012... :o

first1 · 04/06/2012 09:52

Corgi and Monarchy, lovely little twins

jandymaccomesback · 04/06/2012 17:28

Jubilee is growing on me.
As an alternative to Corgi and Monarchy what about Windsor and Balmoral? Or Sandringham?
