Elsa as nn for Elizabeth

Morning (only just, my stomach is telling me it's nearly 12o'clock...)

We have decided on Elizabeth if we are having a girl (25 weeks but aren't finding out sex). Had originally liked Libby as a nickname, wanted to pick one so we don't inadvertantly end up with one we don't like (not a fan of Liz/Lizzy/Betty). However, our surname also has a double b in the middle and I don't think Libby flows very well with it. So we are considering Elsa.

It's a recognised shortening and I think it is more popular here in Scotland than other places in the UK, not one I've just made up. I like that it's short without being too cutsie (Ella, Ellie etc) and was wondering what people thought, I've never come across a baby Elsa before.

Thank you!

I think Elsa is a lovely name, traditional, not commonly used but sweet at the same time.
