DS is here, we love both names but he doesn't look like either! Which way round do you prefer?

iklboo · 30/05/2012 10:26

Idris Rex. Fantastic name.

DogEared · 30/05/2012 10:28

Idris.

squoosh · 30/05/2012 10:28

Idris Elba is one of the sexiest men ever born. Not relevant, but always worth mentioning Grin

IAmBooybilee · 30/05/2012 10:28

what does idris mean?

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2012 10:30

Idris Rex. Unless your surname begins with an A. Congratulations, great names.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 30/05/2012 10:30

Rex Idris rolls off the tongue a little better I think - lovely names and congratulations!

IAmBooybilee · 30/05/2012 10:33

oh yes, i see now what idris means! Grin squoosh i agree!

Stellan · 30/05/2012 10:47

Rex Idris sounds better together but I prefer the name Idris (more adaptable, grown-up sounding, and will be a better name for him than Rex as both a boy and an adult) so for that reason, I suggest going with Idris Rex.

hugebluebump · 30/05/2012 10:52

Idris is a lovely name - classic, underused and solid sounding. Rex sounds a little nicknamey to my (and is the name of our neighbour's german shepherd Grin).

YouFloatLikeAFeather · 30/05/2012 11:03

Rex. Love it

mayanna123 · 30/05/2012 11:08

You rarely use the middle name, so choose the first name that you love more and that goes best with your surname.

I think Idris is a gorgeous, classic, underused name!

KateBeckett · 30/05/2012 11:21

Idris Rex. Gorgeous name :) Congratulations btw!

WithACherryOnTop · 30/05/2012 12:50

Rex is much nicer.

evamummy · 30/05/2012 12:52

Congratulations. I think Idris is a lovely name! So Idris Rex gets my vote.

Thanks for the replies! Sadly hiding one away in the middle is the only way to get the names in as we won't be having any more DC :( I'm so torn, I think we may just keep calling him a mixture of both for a few days and then see which one fits!

Idris Rex sounds lovely-it really flows

bamboozledAardvark · 01/06/2012 15:10

DS is now neither Rex nor Idris. DH suggested Levi the other evening and it's just stuck! So I think we've now decided on Levi Rex!

shoobidoo · 01/06/2012 15:12

Levi is lovely! Congratulations.
