Our first daughter is Imogen and we need a perfect companion name. Thoughts about Olivia?

Foshizzle · 28/05/2012 19:15

I love it. Is supposed to be a super popular name but I actually haven't heard that many Olivias around these parts...

MoonHare · 28/05/2012 19:49

I love it too and must also say that although it's been no. 1 girls name I haven't come across a single little Olivia in the last 4 years. I wonder where they all are??

doublethelovedoublethekisses · 28/05/2012 19:51

I love it too, but I am biased as I have one Grin

RooibosWithMilk · 28/05/2012 21:05

I know a family with sisters Imogen and Olivia!

manicinsomniac · 29/05/2012 09:21

They go very well together. It's a pretty name but I'd be put off because all the little Olivias I teach go by 'Livvy' and I don't like that.

Dropdeadfred · 29/05/2012 09:24

My dd3 is Olivia - never to be shortened to anything!!! We love it!

hugebluebump · 29/05/2012 09:25

I always think of a big black olive when I hear the name. Not very feminine Grin.

AWomanCalledHorse · 29/05/2012 09:26

Very popular in London/Kent.
I like it but the number of Olivia's would put me off.

blondie72 · 29/05/2012 21:43

We have an Olivia and although we love it it is popular in some areas, but not at all overseas!

freerangeeggs · 29/05/2012 22:25

They go well together and it's a pretty name but it is extremely popular. I know tons of 'em (I work in a school).

Beamur · 29/05/2012 22:26

I love it, it was always going to be the name I gave my daughter, although in the end we named her something else!

HalleB · 30/05/2012 04:43

I really like it! one of my favorite names. Goes really well with Imogen :)

TheCatInTheHairnet · 30/05/2012 04:52

I know an Imogen and Olivia set of sisters too!!

I love the name Olivia. We were going to use it 15 years ago but she turned out to be a boy.

PieMistress · 30/05/2012 09:40

I really like it and it's our current middle name option if bubs is a girl, I know it's in the top 5 girls names but I don't know any (I think it must be a name which has a heavy concentration in certain parts of the UK?). Freya goes nicely with Imogen?
