I think you should give your child your surname - if the child will be living with you and not your ex then this makes far more sense.

Of your name choices, my favourites are:

Girls: Evelyn, Poppy, Imogen, Isabella. (There are loads of Isabellas though!)

Boys: Austin, Charlie, Joshua

I was in the same boat and for LO's sake i gave him both of our names. Mine first-then dads. This way It can be up to LO when he gets older to drop one of them or not. Very diplomatic i know!

It's quite common for children to have their mother's surname so go for it and don't worry.

Of your choices, I particularly like Isabella, Rose, Evelyn, Amelia, Olivia, and Imogen although they are quite popular picks. I think these 6 are the most grown-up sounding of your choices - they will suit a child or an adult. Poppy and Ruby are gorgeous too but I can't imagine them on adults (although this will change in 20 years, I'm sure). I don't much care for Ebony. Rose is the 'stand out' name of your options, in my opinion - great name.

I quite like all of your boys' names but prefer the full name of Charles instead of Charlie and the spelling Reuben instead of Ruben. Not really sure what to make of Austin - makes me think of Texas. Quite like the literary Austen as an alternative.

Thanks guys, yes stellen that worries me about poppy too. And I much prefer spelling Austen that wayGrin
