I'm finding out the gender of my baby in four weeks and am certain it's a boy - so DP and I have already got a boys name we both adore, and a middle name to go with it!

However if it's a girl, we were thinking of the name Skye.
Originally it was going to be Sapphire Skye -surname- as we thought it was pretty, but I didn't really like Sapphire as a first name, and i'm still not too sure about Skye and also can't think of a middle name that would go with it.

My DD is Fushia, (my favourite flower, but changed the spelling from Fuchsia as thought it would be a bit risky Grin ) her middle name is lilly.

Fushia and Skye? Any suggestions for names that are similar?

Samphire

Serefina

FriggFRIGG · 28/05/2012 10:29

Seren is nice too and means 'star'

I thought Stella meant star? Could be wrong - though Stella is a name worth thinking about maybe?

Skye and Fushia sound nice together though. Quite like Skylar too.

Also thought of:
Aurora
Rosa
Opal
Carmen
Honor
Cordelia
Penelope
Orla
Amelia
Delia

Saffron Skye

SwissArmyWife · 29/05/2012 07:27

yummybunny that has been in the back of my mind actually, maybe that's why i'm not too sure on it!

I don't know if it's just me but if a name has any sort of association with anything/anyone else I can't seem to consider it very much!

Saffron is nice but again it reminds me of someone I know so i've been put off!

I really hope it's a boy Grin

It's quite a common name in Scotland (since it's an island name and they seem to be popular atm).

It's one of my faves, I think it's gorgeous.

Saffron Skye nn Saffy is a cool name. I actually really love Saffy as a nickname, when I think about it.

SwissArmyWife · 30/05/2012 11:09

We've decided on Sky Serena (as in serene sky)
OR Sapphire Skye, as I really do like the nn Saffie :)

Skye Serena is lovely!

Lannie33 · 31/05/2012 16:05

Skye is beautiful.

Also, Sienna Skye. But Skye is so pretty it deserves to be the first name :)
