this is our final list we can agree on which do you like dislike I know they are mostly very popular.

I like them all. I am slightly biased as DS is Harry so I obviously love that but other than that my favourites are Jacob and James

Harry or Benjamin - they are very popular but classic nonetheless!

Like them all except Harry - you just don't get barristers or doctors called Harry.

Elliot is lovely. Benjamin quite common now but also lovely, Jacob nn Jake lovely too, was on our shortlist.

James (hate Jim/Jimmy, would've been on our list if there wasn't 4 in our families)

Not over fond of Elliot and really dislike Harry. The others are lovely but James is my favourite.

Just not fond of Benjamin, Elliot & Jacob, I couldn't imagine calling a child or a grown man by these names.

There are 4 Harry's in ds's class, two of which have the same surname! Very annoying for everyone involved.

Harry - like, but only as nickname for Henry
Elliot - quite like
Jacob - OK, and Jake is nice nickname
James - like
Benjamin - OK, prefer Benedict though

I know Prince Harry's real name is Henry so it obviously is used as a nickname and sorry If I'm being thick but how is Harry a nickname for Henry? They are equal in length and entirely different names

I love the name jacob best but they are all lovely even if james is a little bit used it is still a classic

I love James! Probably would have put it on our own list if it was not labelled as "US TV series addict" in France (which I am... :o)

I wouldn't want to be called Elliot in a class full of Ellies and I am sure there will be at least one in your son's class (be she an Ellie or Eleanor or whatever).

Harry is cute. :)
