Italian names (boys esp)

We are struggling to find any names we both really like for our LO who is due in just over a month. We don't know if baby will be a boy or girl.

We need a name which works in English (with quite strong London accents) and Italian.

We have a few contenders for girls names but hardly any for boys. Any suggestions for either sex? Nothing too common here in the UK (Luca is out) but its ok to be not too out there in Italy.

Marcello?

My DH's cousin has an 18 month old called this. It's gorgeous! Her partner is Italian.

I like Bennedetto (which can be anglicised to Ben for short) and Maurizio.

I just love Italian names. I think my favourite is Salvatore but I love them all. Also Giovanni has a nice sound to it.

I know a Italian/English baby called Dante which works well I think

Thanks for all the suggestions. Matteo is my favourite but dp really dislikes it. We've considered Rocco & it's a family name which is a plus but am fearful he'd be called Rocky all the time.

Francesco is a strong contender.
