Ooh no, I like it. A lot.

Linc for short! Very nice indeed.

Badgerina · 22/05/2012 11:18

Fine if you're American. Otherwise, it's a very nice surname.

Badgerina · 22/05/2012 11:19

If you like Linc, why not just go for Link, like the character from the Zelda games? Grin

Positiveplus · 22/05/2012 12:05

Its ok-ish... though a bit too 'out there' for me.

Probably on the same lines as Wilson and Jackson of which I know one of each - again, not too offensive or anything, just a bit more unusual (and surnamey).

sonniboo · 22/05/2012 13:11

I quite like it, and Linc is a cool nickname. I don't any little (or old) Lincolns, so that's good too.

tummytickler · 22/05/2012 13:24

When I was at college I used to work in an old folks home at the weekends and there was an amazing old chap called Lincoln there. He was so lovely, he would sit out the front and play chess with his friends in the sun, I usually went to sit with him on my tea break and he was the loveliest chap.
It reminds me of him, so for that reason I have always been a bit partial to it. Linc is a cute nn.

QueenEdith · 22/05/2012 13:28

I'd find it too weird, but that's because of a strong association with the city.

If you are no where near it, and unconnected to it, it might work.

Trestle · 22/05/2012 13:37

I quite like it.

Psammead · 22/05/2012 13:39

I quite like it, too.

evamummy · 22/05/2012 14:56

Ooh, it's rather nice and makes a refreshing change from all the cutey names like Archie, Alfie, Charlie, Albie etc.

Lincoln, nickname Linc is lovely actually!

winkle2 · 22/05/2012 23:28

Like it esp after the fiiiiiiit brother in Proson Break :)

winkle2 · 22/05/2012 23:28

Prison I mean!

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 24/05/2012 08:34

Made me think of Prison Break (and the gorgeous Lincoln Burrows) I watch way to much telly Grin

I actually like the name Lincoln. Not usually keen on surnames/place names as first names.

CheerfulYank · 24/05/2012 09:09

Mmmmmm Lincoln Burroughs... :)

I like it! I like most Presidential names.

WithACherryOnTop · 24/05/2012 10:13

It's awful.

BlingBubbles · 24/05/2012 10:15

My nephew who is 4 is Lincoln Grin it's a lovely name and suits him very well.

I think prison break might have had something to do with his name

QueenEdith · 24/05/2012 13:59

You could use Imp as the nn.
