MarianForrester · 14/05/2012 18:21

I don't know any, but I really like it

UsedToBeAContender · 14/05/2012 18:23

Love it. Absolutely love it!

Flubba · 14/05/2012 18:26

Quite like it, but my aunt's dog is called Juno.

AWomanCalledHorse · 14/05/2012 18:27

I think of the old lady in Beetlejuice!
I still like the name...although if you're Northen it can sound like 'D'ya Know'?

wheniwishuponastar · 14/05/2012 18:30

I like it. It makes me think of the film.

popsicle1984 · 14/05/2012 18:35

I associate it with the film too much. Such an annoying character too! Aaargh!

MarySA · 14/05/2012 22:40

Presumably for a boy? Not keen I'm afraid.

DottieRose · 14/05/2012 23:05

No it's a girls name actually

I love the film. I don't like it as a name on it's own though. Maybe as a nn for something else.

MarySA · 14/05/2012 23:08

Oops. Sorry. Shows how much I know!

lemniscate · 14/05/2012 23:13

Love it. Fabulous strong name for a girl - Roman goddess, protector of women. Failed to persuade DH in time for DD although it has grown on him such that if we have another DD we might end up using it

NenNen · 14/05/2012 23:16

My niece is a Juno. I think it's a beautiful name. Someone once asked if it was short for Juniper, which is also pretty. Smile

DottieRose · 14/05/2012 23:22

NenNen what kind of reactions does your little niece get to her name??

Heartbeep · 14/05/2012 23:27

Love it.

lilbreeze · 14/05/2012 23:30

I love it too - the look and sound, the meaning and the film. I know one baby Juno.

NenNen · 15/05/2012 10:45

Some people ask if it's made up but generally reactions are positive. We live in the South so don't tend to get the 'd'ya know' comments. Smile

squoosh · 15/05/2012 10:49

Love it. It reminds me of the Seán O'Casey play Juno and the Paycock. I've never seen the film Juno.

AnEcumenicalMatter · 15/05/2012 11:05

I know a little Juno. I'm not particularly keen on the name myself but it's been generally well received.

RomyMadison · 15/05/2012 11:31

Juno to me sounds like a nickname. And the association with the film it reminds me of a grubby girl. Plus is sounds like Bruno which is a dogs name.

Chandon · 15/05/2012 11:33

Character in my favourite book is called Juno (Mary Wesley: Part of the furniture), she is strong and a great character. So I guess I like it!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 15/05/2012 11:35

Love it. I don't know any Juno people but did once meet the most gorgeous dog named Juno. I don't mean that in a 'you shouldn't call your daughter that' way at all.

WithACherryOnTop · 15/05/2012 12:54

I hate it. Not nice at all imho, and it makes me think of that bloody awful film.

DottieRose · 15/05/2012 13:30

I'm surprised from my "research" on the web the amount of people that either think it is a boys name or a nickname!!! I would have thought that it was really well known Confused

OP posts:
bigbluebump · 15/05/2012 13:33

I assumed it was a boys' names too. A lot of feminine names end in -a and boys' in -o, that's probably why. I probably wouldn't choose it myself, but if you like it, why not? At least it's not already used by lots of others.

MrsBranestawm · 15/05/2012 13:49

Fab name!

Roman goddess.

Great film too.
