What do you think of this name?

I quite like it. The only thing that would put me off is that I don't know anyone called Lyla, but Isla, Lola and Layla are very popular here so it might be mixed up/confused with these names.

Like it and more so because I don't know anyone with this name. At first thought it was short for Delilah, also nice but bit long.

mumnosbest · 11/05/2012 23:40

Also prefer Lilah

LittleTyga · 11/05/2012 23:42

Umm that's my name - so pick something else please :)

TheWave · 11/05/2012 23:47

What about Lyra?

BumsyClugger · 11/05/2012 23:49

My DD is Lyla so I love it Grin

LittleTyga · 11/05/2012 23:50

Mummy? Is that you? :)

BumsyClugger · 12/05/2012 00:16

Not unless you're 11 months old and a friggin' genius Grin

I wouldn't put it past her though, she once checked me in at a pub on FB at 7:30am...

LittleTyga · 14/05/2012 13:52

HaHa! very clever!

AceOfBase · 14/05/2012 14:07

Love the name but not that spelling. Lila or lilah. I like lilac too :)

Katiebeau · 14/05/2012 14:09

We have 3 Lylas in our little circle. It's becoming popular (I love it BTW)

dictionarydiva · 14/05/2012 14:11

I know a lady who had a baby and called it Lyla... the mispronunciations are a nightmare and she is often called Layla. Maybe spell it the way suggested above?

Stellan · 14/05/2012 15:11

Song by Oasis.

Kittycatcat · 14/05/2012 16:30

Really lovely

Ahhhtetley · 14/05/2012 16:31

I had a friend called Lajlah which I always thought was a lovely name

DulcetMoans · 14/05/2012 21:21

Aw, it's one of my choices too. I hadn't considered the other spellings. I like Lilah.

Plus, baby can get it's own theme music thanks to Oasis!

jenrose29 · 14/05/2012 21:49

I think I like the Lila spelling best :) Thanks for your replies ladies.
