Jasper or Ezra...which do you prefer? I posted previously about Ezra and am nearly sold on it but every so often Jasper comes back to tease me! I have settled on a girls name, so just the boy option to sort!!

Ezra! 100% I love it and no offend but Jasper sounds like a dogs name to me! Blush

Weasar · 07/05/2012 17:39

Offence*

cece · 07/05/2012 17:39

Jasper is another word for a wasp.

HolyCameraConfusionBatman · 07/05/2012 18:00

I like them both, but prefer Ezra

MrsLettuce · 07/05/2012 18:01

Ezra of the two, although I do like Jasper.

DottieRose · 07/05/2012 18:25

It's so hard to pick just one! I feel like I need to have fifteen children (like my granny!!) to get to use all the names I likeHmm

MrsPlanB · 07/05/2012 18:26

Ezra

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/05/2012 19:35

Neither but Jasper if I have to pick one. Really don't like ezra, sorry.

DottieRose · 08/05/2012 20:05

Ezra seems to be winning so far Smile

OP posts:
Geranium3 · 08/05/2012 20:10

same as remus, sorry.

BBQJuly · 08/05/2012 20:12

I like both but prefer Jasper.

PercyFilth · 08/05/2012 21:32

Sorry, but for me Ezra conjures up a wizened wrinkled old man. Jasper on the other hand, while not a favourite, is young and dashing

[mills&boon] Oooh, Sir Jasper! [/mills&boon] :o

MarySA · 08/05/2012 21:37

I'm not keen on either of them I'm afriad. Don't like Jasper at all. But can't say I prefer Ezra.

MrsLettuce · 08/05/2012 21:38

Hopefully he will be a wizened old man one day! We're certainly all born looking like one and the name would be 'his' before he stopped IYSWIM.

Ezra is an excellent name.

Nothing wrong with Jasper but it's not in the same league.

BellaOfTheBalls · 08/05/2012 21:38

These were both on our short list although we used neither!

I love them both. (sorry no help am I?)

Firawla · 08/05/2012 21:39

ezra

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 08/05/2012 21:39

Close call, but I think I marginally prefer Jasper.

rachel1970 · 08/05/2012 21:39

Ezra is lovely! Cool, classic and masculine.

Jasper is ok but I'm not keen on the (inevitable?) nickname Jass/Jazz.

DottieRose · 08/05/2012 21:52

Bellaoftheballs what name did you go with in the end?

OP posts:
MoonHare · 08/05/2012 22:02

Jasper over Ezra. Ezra doesn't have a nice sound to it.

BBQJuly · 08/05/2012 22:50

How about another "Ez" name, Ezekiel, with Zeke for short?

effingwotsits · 08/05/2012 22:53

Jasper Smile

BellaOfTheBalls · 08/05/2012 23:13

Dottierose we went for something completely different. Weren't quite brave enough to go with Ezra & DS1's name has a similar ending to Jasper & they didn't sound quite right together.

DS2 is Milo. If we ever have DS3 he will be Ezra though, as the three names will work so well together.

PestoPenguin · 08/05/2012 23:17

I don't like either of them, sorry. I wouldn't know which gender and Ezra was before this thread, so I guess if you must use one it'd have to be Jasper.

BellaOfTheBalls · 08/05/2012 23:26

P.S it is worth considering that Jasper is experiencing something of a revival thanks to a certain vampire based film. Don't think this ONS list is published for last year yet but I think it'll get a big hike up in the rankings.
