Which is the least problematic? Follow-up to comedy surname thread

After receiving many helpful replies to my thread about the difficulties we are having coming up with a girl's name to go with our comedy surname (noun and something that footballers kick!), we have narrowed it down to a shorter shortlist.

Some of the names, though, still have a problem when combined with our surname and would like to your opinions on which would be the least problematic if we decide to go for one of them. The problem list (please see previous post for associated problems of each name if not obvious on first glance - as they weren't to me!)

Beatrice
Molly
Lily (not a problem as such but does it sound twee with our surname)
Thea

Beatrice is lovely

QueenKong · 07/05/2012 15:03

The only Beatrice I know is always called 'Bee', which sounds a bit silly with your surname - sorry!

Hassled · 07/05/2012 15:05

I think the alliteration with Beatrice might be an issue. Rest all fine - nice names.

newcastlecoal · 07/05/2012 15:14

Just so you don't have to read my previous post, the problems!

Bea - Bea ball
Molly - would it not automatically make you think of volley ball?
Thea -Theobald

I don't understand why you are starting yet another thread (the third?) to ask about the same names - it was all answered on your other thread :)

What happened to Jessica, Cassie etc? Much better options IMO.

theGrapeGatsby · 07/05/2012 15:35

sorry op but i think you may be over thinking this there are plenty of names that would work with your surname .
personally i'd avoid crystal , summer ,charity etc and anything ending in belle .

how about lucille . it doesn't seem to have worked for her ! Smile

theGrapeGatsby · 07/05/2012 15:36

should have been it doesn't seem to have bothered her not worked for her

AKissIsNotAContract · 07/05/2012 15:40

None of those work with your surname. Bea Ball is awful.

AKissIsNotAContract · 07/05/2012 15:41

Now I have the fresh prince of bel air theme in my head 'shooting some B ball'

Psammead · 07/05/2012 15:45

Dislike them all with your surname.

PercyFilth · 07/05/2012 16:42

None of them.

You had some much better names on your earlier list, and besides those there are hundreds of other names that would sound better than these.

BBQJuly · 07/05/2012 17:43

Back to the earlier list I reckon.

QueenKong · 07/05/2012 18:13

Annette?

MrsPlanB · 07/05/2012 18:25

I love Thea. Beatrice is nice.
Lily and Molly are played out.
