Hello I'm looking for some inspiration.

My partner quite likes the name Joel for a little boy but my heads a bit like mush and I can't think of any middle names. Dp thinks Alexander but I'm not so sure. Last name ishly rhymes with farmer if that helps any.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

I LOVE the name Joel. Hmm, middle names - Henry? Alexander is good. Peter?

I think Alexander works well. How about Edward?

Joel Alexander is fine, both strong names. To me they don't sound perfect together because of the repeated L sound Jo-EL-AL-Ek-Sander, which is also a little bit like doolally at the start. However that is a very minor quibble!

I'm assuming you have a surname which doesn't start with B, G, M, P, R, W or that if you do then you don't mind initials spelling a word (jab, jag, jam, Jap, jar, jaw).

I would choose something with a consonant sound at the start, and at least two syllables - such as Joel Henry or Joel Thomas as mentioned above. Something like Joel David Alexander would also work.

Someone has suggested Joel Benedict, which gets the nod from me, as that's the name of my husband's twin brother!

I was going to come on and suggest Alexander anyway! I think its a good middle name, especially with a single syllable first name.

Joel Billy. I'm sure he'd find that a wheeze growing up.
