Maggie Gyllenahaal has just a baby girl called Gloria. Sister to Ramona.

I like both these names, very strong and sassy. Would love to holler down the street 'GLORIA YOU DINNER'S READY. AND BRING RAMONA WITH YOU'.

These name are the anti-Ellie's and Evie's.

Cool names.

ButterPecanMuffin · 01/05/2012 18:08

Amen.

This is just one of the reasons I love Maggie Gyllenhaal.

yellowflowers · 01/05/2012 18:47

Great name

BBQJuly · 01/05/2012 19:38

I like Gloria, not so sure about Ramona though.

jaffacakehips · 01/05/2012 19:44

I love the name...I know a 13yr Gloria and she rocks.

Jessica Simpson has had a DD called Maxwell Drew! Hmm

winkle2 · 02/05/2012 22:06

I like maxwell but not for a girl! And she gave a masculine middle name too?!

EskimoPie · 02/05/2012 22:26

I was reminded of fab Australian singer (and more) Deborah Conway's daughters Syd, Alma and Hettie. No mucking around names!

BackToBligg · 03/05/2012 13:34

love Gloria, Glo for short.

sonniboo · 03/05/2012 15:21

Very cool - love both Ramona and Gloria!

Strong, fun names indeed and make a refreshing change from all the Evies, Ellies and Millies...

Positiveplus · 03/05/2012 16:20

Nice enough names though not sure I'd be brave enough to go for them myself!!

I knew a Ramone (girl) once and I thought that was pretty cool and different.

sonniboo · 03/05/2012 17:42

Why would you need to be brave?

Positiveplus · 03/05/2012 17:45

They are just too 'diffferent' for our tastes.
Nothing against them - we just like more popular (common if you like!) names like Chloe and Sophie and have a difficult surname to work with so like to keep it simple (which some would say is boring but we dont!!)
Everyone has different tastes and ideas.

meditrina · 03/05/2012 17:47

It's not a name I really like, but a good choice in Jubilee year.

shoobidoo · 03/05/2012 22:25

Lovely choices - I don't know any little Ramonas or Glorias.

bronze · 03/05/2012 22:27

Not to my taste but I do admire their gumption as names

kickingKcurlyC · 04/05/2012 19:22

Like Gloria, don't really like Ramona.

bleedingheart · 04/05/2012 19:27

I loved the Ramona and Beezus books when I was little. Ramona is a great name. Not so sure about Gloria, I hate the song!

Makes me think of Gloria Jean's coffee chain.

emmyloo2 · 05/05/2012 12:47

Love both names and love Maggie Gyllenhaal.
