Second on way. Evan was on list first time as well. Second time around always amonst favourite candidates - saw it as a strong name and liked equivalence to John. Been using it and whilst no real dislike and have become accustomed to using I have a feeling it is not quite right. Have posted before about Emmet but that I have now discounted. So please hit me with your opinions about Evan please.

I really like it.

TalHotBlond · 28/04/2012 09:41

I love it. It's my grandfather's name and I always thought I would use it until I married into the Evans family. Grin

Love it! Know a very sweet one.

Love it, perhaps because I loved Evan Dando from the Lemonheads...

Like it. It's fresh but traditional IYSWIM.

Raincover & fuzzy:
What sort of comments/ reactions do you find the name is getting?

Love.

If you are not sure, there is also Eben. Medieval english I think, but a real name.

Fuzzywood · 28/04/2012 20:31

All good reactions, particularly from my parents, I'm Welsh but live in England and have managed to give both DC Welsh names. I can't recall anything but very positive seemingly genuine reactions. DS is 15 months now and we haven't met any other little ones called Evan but it's not so unusual that people do this -> Hmm

One of my son's best mates is Evan, they are 12. Suits an older child too.
