Some honest comments!

Georgia - lovely, esp with NN Georgie
Isabel - no no no. Too many.
Isla - lovely
Kasia - nooooo
Leila - lovely and different
Lola -"she was a show girl"... no plus been overused.

Positiveplus · 19/04/2012 12:21

Georgia - love! Is on our shortlist for a girl Smile
Isabel - ok but VERY popular at the mo
Isla - like (as long as your surname isnt White or Man!)
Kasia - no
Leila - ok
Lola - no
Madalena - prefer Madeline

Georgia - I like this one.

Isabel - Too commonplace for me but I can see why - it's a nice name.

Isla - Again, too commonplace for me but I can see why - it's a nice name.

Kasia - I haven't come across this one before but it's not for me.

Leila - Not one for me - it just reminds me of the character in Futurama. I don't like the sound of Leela and much prefer the sound of Lyla.

Lola - As a nickname, quite sweet. It's just not a name for a grown woman who wants to be taken seriously. It's very trendy.

Madalena - If it works with your surname, OK. It's not one I'd use unless I were Italian.

EdithWeston · 19/04/2012 12:36

Georgia - OK, but prefer Georgina or Georgiana
Isabel - lovely classic name
Isla - like
Kasia - not one I like, sorry
Leila - OK
Lola - like, but tend to think of The Kinks, or Charlie and
Madalena - OK and think Magdalena is wonderful

tigrou · 19/04/2012 12:46

Georgia - OK
Isabel - bit dull
Isla - like, pretty
Kasia - no
Leila - OK
Lola - no
Madalena - really really love this!

Am also throwing in Theodora or Teodora, can't decide on the spelling...

Georgia- like it
Isabel- hate it
Isla- love it
Kasia- love it
Leila- ok
Lola- love it
Madalena- hate it

RobinSparkles · 20/04/2012 10:13

Georgia- lovely
Isabel- love it (but I have one, so may be biased)
Isla- lovely
Kasia- is it pronounced the same as Cassia? If so, I prefer the Cassia spelling.
Leila- nice
Lola- lovely but as previous poster said, reminds me of a Showgirl
Madalena- ok

RobinSparkles · 20/04/2012 10:14

I'm not keen on Theodora even though I love Theodore for a boy.

RobinSparkles · 20/04/2012 10:17

Quite like Thea though.

MagsAloof · 20/04/2012 10:24

Georgia - really dislike it. Dull, overly used in 1990s.
Isabel - she will be one a dozen in her school. Isabella nicer, although also incredibly popular
Isla - pretty, very popular
Kasia - 'Kasha' as in Polish pronunciation, or as in Cassia? Both nice.
Leila - nice, simple, classic name
Lola - pretty but very zeitgeisty
Madalena - lovely.

BBQJuly · 20/04/2012 12:00

Georgia and Isabel both lovely :) Theodora and Madalena quite nice too.

Isla is too faddy, Kasia sounds made up but I like Cassia. Leila/Lola too trendy-sounding.

winkle2 · 20/04/2012 22:13

Kasia is pronounced Kassha and is lovely!

readerholic · 21/04/2012 09:35

Kasia is Polish and pronounced just how winkle says, kassha. But I did think it was cassia when I first saw it and I like that. DH has thrown in Zena. Which I am not keen on. Sounds like 'warrior princess ' to me!
