What is your favourite of these names and any suggestions for middle names to go with them: Juliet, Tallulah, jemima, Georgia, Poppy?

Juliet-lovely and very underused. Like Jemima and all the others, but Juliet is a classic. Juliet Anna? Juliet Catherine? Juliet Rose?

Londmum · 13/04/2012 22:00

Thanks hellymelly Juliet is growing on me what could it get shortened to ? Julie/Jules

keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 13/04/2012 22:01

My sister is Juliette but she spells it that way. We call her Julie now. I love it the most out of your names secretly wish it was my nameBlush

keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 13/04/2012 22:02

Oh and her middle name is Dawn. Smile
Juliette Dawn

hellymelly · 13/04/2012 22:02

Probably wouldn't get shortened all that often. Poppy is rarely shortened either ime.

Londmum · 13/04/2012 22:03

Oh I do like the spelling juliette does she have many problems getting people to spell it that way?

Only one I'm not sure about is Tallulah, I really like all of the rest

mummybare · 13/04/2012 22:04

Personally I love Juliet, with Jemima as the runner-up.

As for middle names, I think something short and sweet would work well - Anne or Rose, perhaps. Are there any family names you would like to use? I quite like doing that with middle names...

mummybare · 13/04/2012 22:06

Wow - x posts with everyone, all suggesting Juliet Rose! :o

smartiesrule · 13/04/2012 22:06

Don't like Tallulah, only Juliet and Poppy. Annabel for a middle name.

Londmum · 13/04/2012 22:06

Thanks LaDiDaDi Tallulah is one of those names that u just don't know what response you could get!

Do Many people use 2 middle names these days?

wigglesrock · 13/04/2012 22:11

Juliet by a country mile, its a beautiful name, I was contemplating using it when I had dd3 but didn't. However I like it so much that my husband gets nervous whenever I say it, incase I get any ideas about a dc4 Grin

Rose is a really popular middle name if it matters, I've always used family names as middle names and to be honest they are never used anyway.

Londmum · 13/04/2012 22:12

I think we may look at family names for the middle

I love Georgia; Georgia Rose is very pretty.

Juliet is ok but a bit dull for my tastes.

I don't really like any of the others, sorry.

Londmum · 14/04/2012 22:11

Thank you sofarweareequal one of the reasons we chose Georgia was that if it did get shortened it would be georgie or George which I like- I'm not so keen on the shortened versions of Juliet/jemima. Is Georgia popular I would prefer something a little unusual

OP posts:
SoFarWeAreEqual · 16/04/2012 11:40

I only know of one baby Georgia and I would say it is still quite rare. George and Georgie are both lovely too.

I would be afraid of Juliet becoming Jules which I don't like at all.

squoosh · 16/04/2012 11:48

Juliet and Georgia. Ther rest get a thumbs down.

welovesausagedogs · 16/04/2012 11:54

I really like Jemima and Poppy

and i think you could Have Jemima Poppy

Jemima Olivia
Jemima Rose
Jemima Alice
Jemima Millie

Poppy Olivia
Poppy Alice
Poppy Grace
Poppy Beatrice
Poppy Matilda
Poppy Elizabeth

toobreathless · 16/04/2012 11:56

REALLY like Juliet & think Rose would make a lovely middle name as previously suggested. Or:
Juliet Elizabeth (or Eliza)
Juliet Louise
Juliet Grace
Juliet Hope
Juliet Iris

Strongly disliked Tallulah: makes me think of strippers sorry.

Georgia: meh, alright.

Poppy: quite trendy around here. Not my thing, too cutesy. Of you were to use it I would suggest a strong middle name,

Poppy Elizabth
Poppy Catherine
Poppy Victoria
Poppy Beatrice
Poppy Eleanor

ConsiderYourself · 16/04/2012 11:58

I only like Jemima out of those. Actually, I like Georgia, but we know more Georgias than any other single name.

But why care what others think? I don't matter at all to you!

Londmum · 16/04/2012 21:11

What could jemima get shortened to?

EduStudent · 16/04/2012 23:14
