Twin Girl Names

Head has been spinning for weeks trying to come up with names for identical twin girls! I like traditional names, I don't want matching names (i.e. anything that rhymes or similar names), would rather not have the same letter either

Want to use variations of grandmothers names as middle names, so we have Rose from my my and MIL is Patricia Anne Elizabeth, so any variation of those names

Surname is Young, so would rather not have a short first name. Also want to steer clear of the letter L

At the moment, forerunner is

Abigail Rose Young

but after that, I am completely stumped. So any suggestions welcome :)

My friend has twin girls called Abigail and Madeleine.

StellaYoung · 11/04/2012 14:57

Some nice ones there, I should've added since it's not beer or football, my husbands input is virtually nada!! Only to veto names he doesn't like

Due to me having babies later than most of my family/friends, we're a bit restricted on names that have already been used as well. Where to draw the line on that one tho? I quite like Libby, which is a variation on Elizabeth, but someone we know has recently called their daughter that, but she's a friend of a friend kinda thing

Beatrice Ann Young & Augusta Rose Young

Eliza Ann Young & Alice Rose Young

Lillian Rose Young & Violet Elizabeth Young

Iris Ann Young & Amelia Rose Young

Felicity Rose Young & Cecelia Elizabeth Young

Florence Ann Young & Martha Rose Young

Edith Ann Young & Ava Rose Young

Harriet Rose Young & Matilda Elizabeth Young

Do you like any of these combinations?

Abigail is nice - I know of 2 who have sisters called Megan and Michaela.

How about:
Matilda
Tallulah
Bethany
Charlotte
Melissa
Eva
Ava
Madison
Isobel
Mia
Lydia
Nia

My twins are Heidi Matilda and Kitty Alice but they are family names and others with connections for dh and I - they are probably not your style, but Abigail and Lydia is my suggestion.

Abigail and Oriele

Abigail and Clementine

Abigail Rose and Romilly Anne

NotsoYoung · 12/04/2012 22:30

I've got my notepad out, scribbling combo's to present my husband with lol

PinkPolkaDots · 12/04/2012 22:35

The Abigail I know has a sister called Bethany but they call her Beth x

NotsoYoung · 12/04/2012 22:36

I do like Beth and if I went with that as a first name choice, I could throw my own middle name in as well lol - so that would be Abigail Rose and Elizabeth Marie (to be known as Beth)
