Ben gee? (as in gee up horsey)

It's what I call my ds Ben.

squoosh · 04/04/2012 12:14

Aw Benji. I loved that cute little dog. Memories of Saturday mornings in the 80's eating my rice krispies.

It's the same name as Benjy.

Bellaholland · 04/04/2012 13:24

Too dog like then?

Benji the little dog
Was class

Figarello · 04/04/2012 13:25

Ben-gee. And I would think dog. A little dog at that. Smile

Clearlymisunderstood · 04/04/2012 13:25

Ben gee
But its not really a name in its own right IMO, as a nn for Benjamin it's cute though.

insanityscratching · 04/04/2012 14:19

As a nickname I think it's cute. Ds Ben is 23 but I still call him Benjy but not in front of his mates or work colleagues though.

doctordwt · 04/04/2012 14:38

How can there be more than one way to say it? Do you mean Ben-jai?

Ben-jee

DoubleGlazing · 04/04/2012 14:53

BEN-jee

OhChristHasRisenFENTON · 04/04/2012 14:56

Ben Gee

and yes, I'm afraid it does sound a little bit pet dog.

BackforGood · 04/04/2012 15:04

Not sure how anyone would say it other than Ben - gee (as in gee wizz).
Cute little dog's name.
For a child, hopefully only as a family nickname with Ben or Benjamin on the birth certificate. Smile

Bellaholland · 05/04/2012 12:00

I wouldn't use it as a full name just a nick name from Ben. I just wanted to see you it was prounouced as I would spell ben gee like Benjy.

sheeplikessleep · 05/04/2012 12:01

Ben-jee (as in beginning of jeans, pronounciation).

PinkPolkaDots · 05/04/2012 14:41

Ben gee.
My friends dog is called this, and it really suits him, but a guy I worked with had a son called that too. not short for anything, just Benji.
I do like it, but I think its a bit doggy-like

JimbosJetSet · 05/04/2012 14:46

My Great Aunt had a poodle called Benji. Cute for a baby, not so cute for a 40 year old Lawyer or Refuse collector...
