It's what I call my ds Ben.

Aw Benji. I loved that cute little dog. Memories of Saturday mornings in the 80's eating my rice krispies.

It's the same name as Benjy.

As a nickname I think it's cute. Ds Ben is 23 but I still call him Benjy but not in front of his mates or work colleagues though.

How can there be more than one way to say it? Do you mean Ben-jai?

I wouldn't use it as a full name just a nick name from Ben. I just wanted to see you it was prounouced as I would spell ben gee like Benjy.

My friends dog is called this, and it really suits him, but a guy I worked with had a son called that too. not short for anything, just Benji.
