Looking for confident, feminine, simple (easy to pronounce/spell) girl names that would fit a half Asian half central European girl/woman.

Please let me know your thoughts on Zara and Sasha

And please feel free to add to this list!

And what do you think of Lara?

P.S. we are not muslim, would Zara be too much?

I have a Zara, it's a lovely name, we are not muslim and no ones ever commented on it other than to say how pretty it is.

The Queen's granddaughter is called Zara and I don't think it ever occurred to anyone to accuse her of being a Muslim! Grin

Zara is lovely.

Zara

Zara. I adore Sacha (that spelling) but it's a boys name. Though used in this country now for girls, I still can't get my head round it. Like calling a girl John.

Sasha is my favourite but Zara is a very close second. Not fond of Lara. Go for Laura or nothing imo.

sonniebonnie · 31/03/2012 14:57

Zara definately!

Sasha is a boys name (short for Alexander) and Sacha is the French version. In German it is Sascha. I know lots of boys called this so find it strange on a girl/woman.

Love Zara

EllenParsons · 31/03/2012 15:05

I love Lara and Zara - both simple but gorgeous names. I don't think a Zara has to be muslim. Sasha is also nice but as others have said it is also used for boys, so the unisex-ness would put me off as it could be confusing.

I am not keen on either, Zara is the better of the two imho.
