Love reading the posts on here and have picked up a few ideas from you all! My DH and I have a shortlist for our DC#1 now. I'm sure all the names we like are popular, but this doesn't matter to us. Our surname is two syllables and begins with a G. Boys names except Harry are all family names, girls name only the middle name is - my grandma's and pronounced as in Angel Gabriel. Thanks for any feedback!

Arthur John
Harry John / Harry Thomas
Joseph (Joe) Thomas

Elsa Rose / Elsa Pearl (can't have Elsa Gabrielle or she'll be EGG!)
Lola Gabrielle
Lucy Gabrielle
Milla Gabrielle / Milla Rose (DH loves this, am coming round to it!)
Ruby Gabrielle
Stella Gabrielle
Sofia Gabrielle

Like Joe(seph) Thomas

Think a few of your girls names sound to "l"-ey... So Milla Gabrielle, Stella Gabrielle etc the sound is repeated. I like Milla Rose though, and Stella Rose would sound nice as well.

If keeping the Gabrielle is really important, maybe look for more names like Social that don't have any luck sounds?

Sofia not social
l not luck... Damn phone!

Yeah that's a good point - actually just noticed for the first time how many Ls there are in the girl names, what is that about?! I must like that sound...

Love Joseph - its on our shortlist too! Smile

Like Sofia from your girls name (though prefer Sophie).
Milla and Elsa are nice too.

I like Milla pronounced mee-la

Love Gabrielle and Gabriella actually. Have never heard of pronouncing it
gay-briel as opposed to Gab-riel for a girl though. People might mispronounce, but as it is a middle name, it doesn't matter too much.

Sofia Gabrielle is the prettiest sounding. I actually think Stella Gabrielle is nice, as Lucy too.

I like Harry, Thomas and Joseph in that order - not so keen on John as a middle name, but if it is family then it is a nice thing to do.

I like Sofia Gabrielle and Lucy Gabrielle :)
