OH and I can only agree on ONE name for DD2 which is Libby.
We had already agreed that her mn would be Willow (DD1s pick)
Our surname is three syllable beginning with P

What do you think?

Libby Willow P..........

Personally I would have elizabeth willow and then nickname Libby,

Iheartpasties · 16/03/2012 09:21

Oh yes Elizabeth Willow! Then she can always have options when she is older, if she ever wanted a different nn.

abbypumpkin · 16/03/2012 09:28

Thank you for the replies. Neither of use like Elizabeth (nor any other version, Liberty etc). It would only be Libby.
We have been trying to come up with a name that we both love for 5 months and this is the closest we've come! Names I love he either doesn't like or is indifferent to and vv.
This is the only name that we both really like :(

You've probably already considered it, but how about Olivia for first name? Olivia willow scans better than Libby willow IMHO. I know it's is so hard picking though, so you have my sympathy.

TinkerMaloo · 16/03/2012 09:31

Libby is lovely, Willow is lovely, but I dont think they run together nicely, sorry!

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 16/03/2012 09:40

Just as an alternative, if you are dead set on Libby and willow, could you go for three names, like Libby ... Willow. I would think that adds just another layer or complication, but it's an option!!!

abbypumpkin · 16/03/2012 09:40

Tinker, thanks I was considering the same. Might have to see if ther's an alternate mn.
Maybe
Libby Kate / Libby Sam (OH's name suggestions). Mine are Holly/ Isabel - don't think either work

Layer of complication....

This is the third or fourth thread I've read that you've posted about Abby and Libby. If it's the only name you like, just use it! There's no need to seek continual validation of your choice if it's one you're happy with - who are we to judge?

PercyFilth · 16/03/2012 11:53

I really dislike Libby even as a nickname, it just makes me think of tinned food. Evaporated milk and rice pudding.

LiteraryMermaid · 16/03/2012 12:34

Not a fan of Libby, and I really don't think it flows well with Willow - a bit of a tongue twister. I think it needs something longer as a mn to flesh it out a bit, e.g. Libby Francesca, Libby Catherine etc.

mayanna123 · 16/03/2012 14:11

I agree - you seem to love the name Libby (and dislike Elisabeth or Liberty) and you seem to like it for a sister for Abby. I think you should just go ahead and use the name then Smile. You can't please everyone else - it is YOUR baby you and your dh need to choose names that you both love! Good luck!
