How many is too many?

So, haven't registered DD yet - being done on Tuesday.

We had her name sorted, first and two middles, but then i got to thinking of one that i'd planned to use for DD1 but wasn't allowed, so was going to put that in as well.

Is first name and then three middle names too much? It is, isn't it?

But then, she's my last baby - have been sterilised - so am never ever going to get the opportunity to do this again, so do i just use the names i love reguardless?

wdyt?

Dd's have three names each. If I have more, I'd just have to do the same for symmetry Grin

But no, I don't think four names are excessive, although two or three prob more common. No more than four though!

I don't suppose it matters that much, as middle names don't normally get used much. The more you have, the more meaningless they become really.

A football team list is definitely too many.

Some people just don't know when to stop.

I think three is too many.

In my OH's family their middle names are those belonging to the grandmparents. Although I liked the idea, both grandmothers hated their names so had to look further back.

My LO has two middle names, however her first name and the two middle ones are quite long (although easily break down to some nice nick names). At the time I thought that was fine, but after a fewm onths repeating it down the phone, I am thinking its a bit of a mouthfull to have to go through life with.

I think three middle names might be a bit much, but if they are not to overly long, what does it matter? To be honest, it means that if DD decides she would prefer not to be known by her first name (like me) then she has a nice choice.

What ever you do, it will not be the worst naming that day, month or year!

DD has 3 middle names and thinks it's great. It's only really an issue with form filling.
