Philip / Philippa?

A bit stuck for names - nothing's really grabbing me.

I have a dear childless uncle Philip (Phil) and while I don't love the name, I do like it, and the nicknames Pip or Poops are cute I think.

Is Pippa too wannabe royal?

Oh dear, I meant Pippa, not poops! Why is that saved in my auto-correct dictionary, I wonder?

Anyway! I really like Philippa nn Pippa. Not so keen on Philip through.

Agree with jaffa on the bottom and on the names . Philip is either way in front of the current trend or just a bit odd. Anyway, if you don't love the name maybe use it as a middle name in his honour?

Not a fan of Philip and don't like boys names with an 'a' or 'ina' added on the make them female.

Plus doesn't Pippa mean hand job/blow job/part-time job in Greece or Sweden or both? Could not contemplate giving my daughter a name that was a euphemism for a sex act in any country's slang, no matter how far flung or how unlikely she'd be to travel there.

Surely though "squoosh* if her DD did end up in a coutry where her NN was slang for a sex act she could just use her proper name?

squoosh its Greece and Iceland , I love it, the fact that it is a euphemism for a BJ makes me smile has done since i first found out, it's a lovely name and it is relatively unusual, but it will be shortened to Pip by everyone.

I like Philip - underused classic.

Less keen on Phillipa and really don't like Pippa.

My best friend is called phillippa and she absolutely hates it, what she hates even more is being called Pippa or pip. Just warning you lol x

Just to say that Middleton woman has no arse and no tits. For some reason people have been brainwashed into thinking ironing boards are attractive. I'm glad I've got my backside and not hers. :o
