I am due in June, and today we went for a scan and we decided to find out the sex, it's another girl.

We are still undecided on her name, here are our favourites, which do you like??

Milla (pronounced mee-la)
Posy
Lula
Iris

Her brother (4) is called Herbie and her sister (2) is called Ivy.

Middle names and similar names to those i have suggested would be greatly appreciated.

I Love herbie!

Didnt you post once before, when you didnt know the sex? Am sure Ive seen a thread with Herbie and Ivy in it.

Anyhoo, I love Iris of your list.

HolyNoSheDittantBatman · 29/02/2012 22:55

I like Posy best from your list. Milla is nice as well. Iris is ok, but not with Ivy. Really don't like Lula (I think it might've been on that list of 'names your kids call their genitals')

Yeah i posted before, we didn't know the sex then, but my husband and i really wanted to know the sex, as we did with the others. So we found out when we had todays scan. I'm sooo happy, the girls will be really close in age which will be so nice for them.

Please pick Posy....I think it's just a lovely name...

I love Iris but as you already have an Ivy i'd say it's a no go imho. Nice for Ivy to have the only "I".

Congrats.

ps, Herbie is COOL!

welovesausagedogs · 01/03/2012 14:19

Well, it seem that everyone loves my sons name. After much discussion with hubby, we have decided on Posy, as it work best with Herbie and Ivy from the list as it ends in the eee sound and it has floral connotations like Ivy without being too flowery. We also feel its unusual enough that she will be one in a class and modern/classic enough that it won't date to quickly.

As middle names we have come up with: (our surname is a common english surname with two syllables).

Posy Cecelia
Posy Felicity
Posy Rose

any other suggestions would be great,

Herbie is Herbie Oscar and Ivy is Ivy Matilda

I am glad you have told us the name you have chosen. I often think back to name threads and wonder why the OP never returns when decided / baby born with a "thanks for the suggestions, we went with...."

Posy Beatrice
Posy Florence
Posy Alice

welovesausagedogs · 01/03/2012 15:13

I really like Posy Beatrice, yeah i find it annoying when you spend time suggesting names an then the OP doesn't tell you what they chose, thats why i thought i should.

love, love, love the name Posy,

How about

Posy Sophia

Posy Jocasta

Posy Lotte

Posy Beatrix

Or if you really like Milla that could work too, or Rose, very cute!

SayBoo · 01/03/2012 17:47

Love Herbie and Ivy.

Milla is very pretty.

I think Iris is a bit similar to Ivy, but nice enough.

Posy is too cutsey for me. It makes me cringe. Polly?

Lula is awful. Lyra? Lila? Leila?

SecondhandRose · 01/03/2012 21:50

Posy? I immediately thought of poseur. Sorry.
