I saw this name written down the other day - Apphira. I've googled it and nothing really comes up, so is it actually a name? I quite like it.

It sounds like a drug to treat alopecia. Sorry.

FilterCoffee · 26/02/2012 20:52

Sapphira is a name, but I haven't heard of Apphira.

kisshug · 26/02/2012 20:54

hmm, maybe it was Apphia and I misread it?

ah, yes, Apphia is definitely a name - just looked it up. It means 'increasing' and was someone in the Bible. What do people think?

Sapphira is a Greek girl name. The meaning of the name is `blue jewel, beautiful. I think it is rather lovely.

I think the drug to treat alopecia is called Stopdisappearia!

Italiangreyhound · 27/02/2012 01:30

Oh sorry, apologies to anyone suffering from alopecia.

manicinsomniac · 27/02/2012 01:58

If you call your child it then it's a name I guess!

It sounds too like 'a fear of ...' to me.

I also adore Amara

PercyFilth · 27/02/2012 15:00

kisshug · 27/02/2012 15:21

Sounds like it should be preceded by 'Vauxhall'.
