How about looking at saints' names for October? Here's a calendar of medieval saints medievalist.net/calendar/home.htm

(other saints calendars are available:) )

Octavia(n)
Sloe would be quite nice if it didn't sound the same as slow!

PopcornBiscuit · 18/02/2012 17:12

Jorah - "first rain/autumn rain"
Cormac - "tree trunk"
Bruno - brown
Adam - red
Lennox - relates to the elm tree
Ashley

Theresa - means "late summer" and you could have Tess as nickname
Rowan/Rowena
Willow
Laurel
Xanthe
Zarina

Most of these suggestions are not season-specific though, are they? I mean, trees for instance are there all the year round.

Oooh I've just thought of one - Filbert! Bertie or Fil for short :o.

Jasper, Hawthorne, Keats (he wrote To Autumn, didn't he? :)), Emerson, Walden (after the pond) are all nice boy's names. In my opinion.

For girls: Amber, Aurelia (my favorite! Means golden), Marigold, Saffron

Virginia (as in creeper)
Quincey
Berry
Michael as in Michaelmas - old Michaelmas Day was in October, and old universities still have Michaelmas Term
