Hideously phrased title, hope you get what I mean

So many threads on here are asking for unusual or unique names. Seems to be hard.

So, question: How many children do you know who are the only child you know with their name (ugh, STILL badly phrased, can't get it right!)

For Me:

Girls: Adenike, Aliya, Athene, Callie, Camilla, Camina, Caprice, Celest, Cerys, Chelsea, Christabel, Clea, Fenella, Fionnhuala, Eloise, Heather, Henrietta, Jade, Karenza, Katinka, Kelsey, Kiran, Kiya, Lana, Lara, Lillianna, Maria, Millicent, Mira, Naomi, Nayana, Nyah, Polly, Robyn, Rocio, Rosemary, Sadie, Samai, Samantha, Samya, Savannah, Sorcha, Teresa, Thea, Tolulope, Zia

Boys: Adam, Alejandro, Anton, Arjun, Arnav, Artemis, Barnaby, Caleb, Caven, Craig, Damon, Diego, Evan, Ferdi, Fitch, Frasier, Gennady, Gregory, Hal, Harrison, Hayden, Hector, Jonathan, Keshav, Kristian, Lucas, Morgan, Nelson, Niall, Oluwakorede, Oluwatoni, Orlando, Orson, Paris, Rafi, Ranulph, Rex, Robin, Rory, Rowan, Ruan, Scott, Shea, Simon, Stephen, Tasimba, Tavish, Tawanda, Teo, Terence, Vishal

I used to live in a flat in Aberdeen and the neighbour's kid was called Pocahantas. It wasn't a great area TBH. My daughter is Eden and my son is Archer (my grandmother's maiden name and my middle name). So both unusual and I've not met any duplicates yet.
How do you do this search some of you have mentioned to find other MNers kids' names?

mumofjust1 · 18/02/2012 23:13

SleepyCaz · 19/02/2012 00:07

My DH's name is unique, but might out myself with it Smile I like it and wanted it for DS's middle name, but DH vetoed it!

Throughgrittedteeth · 19/02/2012 00:18

HappyAsEyeAm · 21/02/2012 13:13

PoohBearsHole · 21/02/2012 14:46

My name still not here then?

Dd's isn't either but it is a bit controversial (on mn)

Janoschi · 21/02/2012 17:04

Pretty much all the kids I know are the only 'owners' of their name in my circle. Exception being Max. Seem to be a lot of those!

stegasaurus · 21/02/2012 21:46

I just read this thread to see if any of you might know me. I'm not going to out myself by telling everyone what it is, but I have never met another person with DD's name (and no I didn't make it up). I have looked on the ONS stats and less than 3 girls were given her name in each of the past few years

heartmoonshadow · 21/02/2012 21:53

I heard the following in ASDA a few days ago:

Nikita-Mariah and Raffeeki-Tonia - twin girls very unique. (Spelt 2nd one phonetically no idea really)

My little boy has a friend called Doris a delightful child just an old fashioned name.
