I would spell it Elliot - how would you spell it? Is the fact the name has multiple spellings a reason not to pick it? Both me and hubby love the name...

You missed Eliott Grin Seriously, everyone will spell it differently no matter how many times you tell them the correct way, so spell it how you want! I would spell it Elliott but the only one I know spells it Elliot.

CrazyBabyLady · 15/02/2012 00:00

I'd call a girl Elliott!

lemonpoppyseed · 15/02/2012 00:40

We went for two l's and two t's...

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 15/02/2012 00:49

Elliot

...but I'd choose something else if you are fussed how people spell your childs name

TheDetective · 15/02/2012 00:51

Elliot for a boy.

Montsti · 15/02/2012 08:33

Elliot

Paperbag · 15/02/2012 08:37

Elliot. (I have an Elliot and didn't realise you could spell it in any other way until we started getting congratulations cards when he was born with different spellings!)

sodapops · 15/02/2012 08:45

Elliot.

I have an Elliot and when people fill in forms or write his name for some reason they usually say "2 ls 1t?" So it seems most people think it is spelt like that IYSWIM.

MackerelOfFact · 15/02/2012 08:49

I actually would've assumed Elliott was the correct spelling, but I think I only know one and that's how he spells it (I think Hmm).

soupandsnow · 15/02/2012 11:35

Definitely Elliot,

as someone pointed out, rearrange Eliott and you end up with 'toilet'.

Psammead · 15/02/2012 13:15

Elliot.

Afropop · 15/02/2012 18:47

Elliot

2 t's is the surname and only one l looks odd.
