Middle Name suggestions for Oliver

[Failsafe]

We really love the name Oliver for our baby boy that is due in May, but are struggling with a middle name, any ideas?
The only thing is it can't start with a M due to our surname and the initials it would give!

Would really appreciate any suggestions because I don't think i can cope with re-reading baby names books again for a middle name!

I personally wouldn't go for anything beginning with J because he would be OJ.

I think it would sound better to have a single syllable name. How about:
Oliver James
Oliver Zach
Oliver Jack
Oliver Charles
Oliver John
Oliver Reece

Or perhaps 2 syllables
Oliver Thomas
Oliver Robert
Oliver Joseph

Never throught of the OJ thing, although i quite like Oliver James and Oliver Jack.

I know an Oliver James and an Oliver Sinclair.

I think OJ is quite a cute NN.

I have an Oliver John. The only person who has ever mentioned the "OJ" thing is mil, who thinks he will be bullied. I don't think it will be an issue, personally.

I don't think OJ is a problem...I would avoid OD so no Daniel/David etc...

Lovely name. Am biased. We have Paul as middle name due to family tradition. My choice would have been Matthew.

I just love Oliver Benedict, gives that clever and posh twist. (also Catholic if you like!) or what about middle name after your Dad or Dps Dad?

Why not give him a name that's a bit more imaginative? He'll be one of countless Olivers/Ollies in his peer group.

I know a Oliver Louis which I think works well. Not sure abot Oliver Lawrence, makes me think of Laurence Olivier!

OP loves and has chosen the name and assume doesn't care if it is popular...Oliver is a lovely name. I would rather choose a name I love than an unusual one that I'm not keen on....and DC will be teased about...anyway just my opinion but to be fair OP didn't ask for our opinion on Oliver (which probably won't be top 5 in a couple of years..) but a middle name!

Name changed for this. My ds2 is Oliver Joseph and our surname begins with M. When he was born 11.5 years ago, dh wanted Joseph Oliver, but I persuaded him round. He is in a year of 240 children and there are only 2 Olivers, but loads of Josephs. I appreciate that when he was born Oliver was not the most popular name.

If you like go for it. I find it amusing when someone thinks they've chosen an uncommon name and then it's the next trend. I know far more Archies, Freddies and Zacs than I do Olivers.
