what to name DD2?

i have a baby girl due next month, already have a DD called Marissa (DP's decision) and we both want DD2 to have an unusual name, DP think she should be named after me (Laurissa) but not sure? he also suggested Lauryn with the unusual spelling but not sure if i like it enough to name DD2 it?

and is laurissa too similar to marissa?(who gets called Rissa most of the time)

I think Laurissa is too much like Marissa.

Lauryn is nice though.

I like Lauryn too. My friend's dd is Lauren Anya Mae, which I think is lovely.

thanks, but is lauren to common? i dont think it sounds right with surname? any other suggestions?

i like both Loretta and Reese, DP thinks her middle name should be Laurissa, does Reese Laurissa, Loretta Reese or Reese Loretta sound better? once ive cleared it with DP of course hahaa

Laurissa is WAY too close to Marissa.

Lauren is nice enough but Lauryn a bit Lauryn Hill and would constantly be correcting people.

Kiara is okay - how about spelling it the Italian way, Chiara? That is lovely IMO.

Or just Cara, Lara, Laura, Kaia, Maya?

I love Laura and Lorelai.

I think Kara is a lovely name but there are a lot of R's and S's with both middle names and your surname. And perhaps Kara Rawson has some repetition with rara.

Anyway, the decision is yours, but don't let your MIL decide!

Agree Laurissa is too similar to Marissa.

Do like Kara (prefer Cara).
Also like Carla, Cora and Clara.
