Still throwing ideas about indulgently, sorry! What do you think of Rosa and Rosalind? Do you like either, and any preference?

I much prefer Rosa and it was on my list for DD. Such a lovely, simple, classic name.

HettyKett · 09/02/2012 15:05

Of the two, Rosa. Utterly beautiful.

Rosalie might be a good option if you'd like her to have a longer version too. Rosalind is a bit dowdy to my ear.

Montsti · 09/02/2012 15:22

I prefer Rosa!

birdofthenorth · 09/02/2012 15:39

I like the Rosa Parks association with Rosa, but think you could play with Rosalind more in terms of nicknames... Rosie, Rose, Roz, Lindy?

Rosa! My little girl's name :)

Stellan · 09/02/2012 16:21

I like both of them although I prefer the Rose sound of Rosa to the harsher Roz sound in Rosalind.

PopcornBiscuit · 09/02/2012 16:41

Rosalind

NormanTheForeman · 09/02/2012 16:45

I like both. Or Rosamond........

diddl · 09/02/2012 16:47

Prefer Rosa.

Also like Rosalie & Roseline.

BiWinning · 09/02/2012 16:50

Rosa.

phlossie · 09/02/2012 18:01

I love the name Rosalind - it's my dd's middle name (with an e on the end) after my lovely cousin. You could also have Rosa as a nn for Rosalinde too...

Hope88 · 10/02/2012 13:01

Rosalie

Purplelooby · 10/02/2012 20:51

DH and I have argued over these names - I like Rosa and he likes Rosaline (which is nearly Rosalind...)

tummytickler · 10/02/2012 20:53

Rosalind is lovely (nn Lindy is really sweet!). You could use Rosa as a nn if you wanted to, that way you get the best of both worlds.

bobbledunk · 11/02/2012 22:45

I like both but prefer the name Rosalie which is similar but just sounds prettier.

Passionfruitmartini · 11/02/2012 22:55

Rosa means rose in Spanish - and Rosalind sounds very close to Rosalinda, which means beautiful rose.
I like Rosa, but usually accompanied by other name. For example
Maria-Rosa
Rosa-Elena
Rosa-Julia

AgnesBligg · 11/02/2012 23:00

Rosalind, how beautiful.

Not so keen on Rosa.
