Opinions on Trinity?

Haven't seen this name mentioned for a while and am quite interested in using it for DD2 due in a few weeks. It goes well with our surname and DD1 is Laila so think they go ok together. Any opinions gratefully received!

Nope. Only okay for your third. Like Octavia should only be used for your eighth. Sorry.

SeaweedNK · 04/02/2012 23:27

Quite like it but does make me think of the Matrix movies....

MitrochondrialEve · 04/02/2012 23:27

Sounds like a sixties block of flats, or one of many many CofE or catholic churches.

This is why I need help! Lol! Can't beleive I didn't pick up on the connection with 3 Blush

liberty is nice

JollySergeantJackrum · 04/02/2012 23:35

What about Bethany?

Makeminealarge · 04/02/2012 23:38

My friends second DD is called trinity but nn 'trinny' or 'trin' unusual but actually very lovely

PeanutButterCupCake · 04/02/2012 23:43

Not very keen. Holy trinity and we have a school named that.

arwen110578 · 04/02/2012 23:43

We have Bethany on our 'possibles' list as well but undecided on that or Bethan. Liberty is lovely but I know my DH will veto!

I love Bethan. DH prefers Bethany, which I also like lots.

Have you tried putting names you like into this site ?

BuntyPenfold · 05/02/2012 00:57

I love Trinny Blush

Sharpkat · 05/02/2012 01:17

Just don't use Susannah as a middle name with Trinity Grin

HolyNoSheDittantBatman · 05/02/2012 01:43

Trinity is horrible imo

I don't think the 3 thing matters though, if you like it use it

Bethany and Bethan are both much, much, much nicer.

BebeBelge · 05/02/2012 01:53

I like it, but I wouldn't immediately think of 'three' - I would think you are incredibly religious, ie. Holy Trinity

mathanxiety · 05/02/2012 02:53

Goes well with Laila. They have a sort of hippie or California back country vibe to them imo. Sunny and carefree, jeans and horses, campfires and guitars...

Chavarama. Trinity's sisters would be Nevaeh and something with Mae on the end.

kayjaybabe · 05/02/2012 06:45

Used to baby sit a trinity i love the name. She was such a cutey so that helped make the name better.

boyfallingoutofthesky · 05/02/2012 07:03

I know a Trinity, who is the third child as it happens, not sure if that was the reason for the name. It always makes me think of pitchforks for some reason (Trident?) and sounds as if she should have three heads, so not keen. Also don't think it is a particularly pretty sound, compared to Laila which is lovely. I do like Verity though, which has a similar sound. Also like Bethan and Bethany (but think prefer Bethan).
