I love it! I don't normally comment on name posts but really love it!

woolly76 · 04/02/2012 20:14

Lovely name like it with jack

Fluffmacduff · 04/02/2012 22:45

Think there is way too much alliteration with surname Jack, sorry

TheOriginalNutcracker · 04/02/2012 22:48

I love Georgia, but really don't think it goes well with Jack as a surname, sorry.

PopcornBiscuit · 04/02/2012 23:15

Lovely name, but too much "g/j" sound with Jack.

mumbaisapphire · 04/02/2012 23:24

I like Georgia too but think it is too much with Jack. Too many g/j sounds.

SleepyFergus · 04/02/2012 23:38

Like it! I love the name Georgia but DH doesn't so that's the end of that! (expecting dc2, team yellow)

TheNewMrsC · 05/02/2012 00:17

Looooooove it !!!Grin

BuntyPenfold · 05/02/2012 00:51

Not mad on it, tbh, with your surname.

mamalJ · 05/02/2012 07:50

Julia Jack is better, but a name not beginning with J/G would be better still.

TinkerMaloo · 05/02/2012 10:04

i like it :)

singinginthelifeboats · 05/02/2012 10:09

Georgia is a really great name - some bias here! Very few of them around where we are, lots of good ways to shorten or even lengthen it if you so desire, not difficult to pronounce or spell, good for a tomboy but also for a 'girlie' girl etc etc

But I'm afraid I'm not keen on the alteration in this case (despite having the same initial for my DS's first name as his surname! Sorry to be hypocritical! It seems to work for him......)

With a very short surname you could go mad with the syllables in the first name IMO!

Clawdy · 05/02/2012 11:23

Love the two names together but there are several little Georgias at our local primary,it is very popular.

singinginthelifeboats · 05/02/2012 14:13

That was alliteration - not alteration! Dearie me - and I haven't even had my Sunday lunchtime sherry today!

I like Georgia Jack - I like the alliteration Smile

Portia4 · 05/02/2012 15:12

I love it, as we have a Giorgia, spelt slightly differently Smile

Littlecherublegs · 06/02/2012 13:50

Love Georgia but as others have said, think Georgia Jack is a bit too much.
Im not into alliteration at all, sorry!

pilates · 06/02/2012 17:19

I like Georgia but not with your surname

PastGrace · 06/02/2012 17:23

I like Georgia, and think you can just about get away with your surname, although I think Georgina Jack is better, because the "n" breaks up the sounds.

I love the name Julia but not with Jack, sorry. Also I'd put money on her being known as "JJ", which may or may not bother you. I knew a horrible girl called JJ so it puts me right off.

seren82 · 06/02/2012 22:20

Yes Georgina Jack sounds better to me too.
