Bella

I was just wondering what everyoe thinks of the name Bella. I was thinking of Bella Eve or something along those lines.
I have finally got dh to like another name apart from Anna!.
He does not like Isabelle or Isabella as he worried people will call her Izzy not sure whats wrong with that but anyway I am ok with Bella but havent heard it much as a name in its own right.

What do you think?

ok my sister has just this moment said "bella liek off twilight" I have never seen it so..im guessing there is some awful link here from her tone of voice...

What about Annabel as a compromise? Not a fan of nicknames as names.

We have an Isabella but I was very insistent that this never be shortened to Bella! We do call her Izzie though!

I like anabel and you would have thought Dh would as he likes Anna - but no. At this rate the baby will just be called "number 5" for the rest of her life!

I love Bella, but would put a fuller name on the birth certificate like Arabella or Annabel

Love Bella and it's in my favourites but i agree it's a good idea to have the longer name on the birth certificate like Isabella or or Annabella. I was worried that it would become common with the twilight series character. But if you love it was does a hollywood movie matter?

I have a friend Anna, who is always nn Annabelle/Annabella/Bella. So

I like Bella. How about Mirabelle? Slightly more unusual.

I like bella. I think it's lovely. But, had you thought of Belle? To me it's just that little bit prettier, was on my list if I had another girl, but bun in oven is a boy!
