Annabel and .........

Hi all

Just considering names that sound nice along side Annabel. I am not really concerned if a name 'goes' but it would be nice if they complicated each other. We have got a short, one syllable surname. So I was thinking:

Boys
Xander (Alexander)
Edward
Felix
James
Henry

Girls
Beatrice
Kitty
Florence
Esther
Grace
Penny

Thanks Smile

Shardonnay is nice.

MadDash · 29/01/2012 20:03

If you like Kitty, how about Christopher/Kit for a boy? Annabel and Kit sounds lovely (as does Annabel and Kitty).

Kaekae · 29/01/2012 20:11

Henry and Florence.

MrsRupertBear · 29/01/2012 20:11

Christopher is lovely and it is a family name, I didn't think of that Hmm. That is one to consider. Thanks Smile Thankyou for the other suggestions as well.

Great list of names! :)

I like all the boys' names, and of the girls' list I like Beatrice, Florence, Esther and Grace.

Xander may seem too similar to Annabel because of the "an" sound in the first syllable.

Penny is nice as nickname for Penelope but I wouldn't have it as a stand-alone name. Also too many "nn"s alongside Annabel.

Hulababy · 29/01/2012 20:52

DD's friend is called Annabel and her brother is Edward.

Collision · 29/01/2012 20:58

MrsRupertBear · 29/01/2012 21:11

MrsRupertBear · 30/01/2012 20:04

Thankyou for all your suggestions Smile. I think I am moving more towards Edward or Henry for a boy and Florence or Beatrice for a girl. Edward and Florence are both family names, so who knows Hmm

I have an Annabelle and a James Edward.

Before I had James (didn't know gender) I liked Clara and Alice for a girl.

Good luck x
