Yep, love them both.

NicolaWorkHardPartyHarder · 25/01/2012 17:33

My DD's middle name is Sofia. Luca is lovely as well

ReneeVivien · 25/01/2012 17:35

Nice! I particularly like Luca.

PopcornBiscuit · 25/01/2012 18:56

Are you Italian? If so, go for Sofia and Luca. If not, Sophie and Luke.

LetLoveRule · 25/01/2012 19:01

I agree - Luca in particular is such an Italian name, it sounds a tad pretentious if you're not (but lucky you if you are - it's a gorgeous name!).

wigglesrock · 25/01/2012 19:50

I have a Sofia, she's 6 now and I love her name even more now than I did when she was born Grin Funny enough not a huge fan of Sophie (its a completely different name), I like Luca but prefer Roman.

Love them both. Sophia is my all-time favourite name for a girl and Luca goes well with it.

CharlieBoo · 25/01/2012 20:25

I know lots of Luca's....all Italian though...big Italian community here. I agree, prefer Sophie, Sophia/Sophia has suddenly become very trendy....

TheJiminyConjecture · 25/01/2012 20:27

I know quite a few Luca's. None of them Italian and all with very 'British' names eg Smith/Brown

Same story for Sophia

littleshinyone · 25/01/2012 20:34

My little girl is Sophie, so obviously i like it lots, and Luca would def be on my boys list (31 weeks now) if it wasn't for the fact that our cat was called Lucy!!

JuluLu · 26/01/2012 07:11

Sofia is lovely. Luca? Not so much. Sounds girly and "pukey". The only Luca I have met was a pale, snotty blighter.

JUJUBUG · 26/01/2012 14:48

HAHAAA!! Thankyou ladies just love your honest opinions :) z

I prefer Sophie and Luke.

ThisIsNotAnExit · 26/01/2012 15:05

I love both names. DS is called Luca and it would still be my first choice now. We thought we were being original when we chose it but we had no idea how popular the name is, even outside Italy. We also know tons of little girls called Sofia.

mistressploppy · 26/01/2012 15:08

Both nice. My cousin has a Luca (not in the least bit Italian)

You like 'em, you use 'em!

I prefer Sophia to Sofia but not sure why...and I think I'm wrong anyway...
