As time is drawing closer it's becoming more difficult to decide. We're stuck between Tara Eve or Tessa Julia? Thank you.

I really like Tessa Julia, more unusual and softer sounding for me than Tara but both are nice. What is your surname like?

SpottyTeacakes · 23/01/2012 15:59

I prefer Tessa, really not keen on Tara I'm afraid. Tessa is a pretty name Smile

sunshinemummy2012 · 23/01/2012 16:09

Thanks the surname is richard

Tessa is very pretty, and goes with Eve and Julia.

Allthesanityinme · 23/01/2012 16:16

Much prefer Tessa Juilia, pretty and classic name. Tara is too harsh sounding and reminds me of Tara Palmer Tompkinson (sp?).

pranma · 23/01/2012 16:22

I'm not keen on Eve with either of the others as it can be hard to say the two vowel sounds together.I do like Eve as a name but I feel that julia makes a better mn for either of the others.

SoupDragon · 23/01/2012 16:24

Not keen on Tessa and Julia together although they are nice enough alone.

sunshinemummy2012 · 23/01/2012 18:07

Thanks ladies.

Tessa.

QueenVictoria42 · 23/01/2012 19:01

Tara Richard doesn't really sound great together - too many consecutive R's. Having said that I prefer it to Tessa, but don't think you can use it. Julia Eve is my preference, or Tessa Eve rather than Julia.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/01/2012 19:03

Tessa, though prefer Tess.

AnonymousBird · 23/01/2012 19:04

Tessa, for sure. Tessa does not run into Eve when spoken aloud, too awkward, but does run nicely into Julia.

TJR.... not aware that those initials cause any issue or embarrassment (always worth a quick think/check!)

Pretty name.

Ephiny · 23/01/2012 19:08

Tara (Eve) is my favourite, but I agree doesn't work well with Richard. I have a name that's difficult to say due to too many Rs, and it's awful when you struggle to say your own name!

Tessa just sounds a bit nickname-ish to me. Julia is lovely though and goes with your surname well. Also it works better with Eve in my opinion, due to the extra syllable.

fishyonadishy · 23/01/2012 20:18

Love Tessa and Tess.

Be warned though that the only Tess I've ever known was subjected to many , many testicle jokes.

planetpotty · 23/01/2012 20:24

Tessa Smile

sunshinemummy2012 · 23/01/2012 22:24

Oh no, many testicle jokes! Not ideal...

I cannot possibly give an objective opinion given that three of those names belong to me, my mum and my auntie!

sunshinemummy2012 · 23/01/2012 22:37

Oh how lovely, your family has all three!

I love the name Xanthe, just because it starts with an X - so cool! Sorry I digress... like Tessa, not so keen on Tara.

mathanxiety · 23/01/2012 22:50

Tessa

lurkinginthebackground · 23/01/2012 22:50

I would go with Julia Eve.

PeanutButterCupCake · 23/01/2012 23:04

I like Tessa Eve.

sunshinemummy2012 · 24/01/2012 08:52

I think we?re finally getting there, so thanks again for your help. Tessa seems to be the tipping the post for us both. Our newest option is Tessa Faye. .
