Which would you go for? How do they sound/ come across to you? And do you think they will suit our DD as an adult? We are name numpties and don't have a clue. Many thanks

All nice names. I'm less keen on Jasmine or Hannah. Jasmine gets shortened to Jas a lot which I don't really like. Like Jessica or Cassie (but again would this be a nn or the full name?) Eva is lovely too.

EdithWeston · 23/01/2012 21:37

Molly - like
Emily - lovely
Cassie - lovely, but a bit of a nn
Jessica - doesn't do it for me
Eva - rather dull
Jasmine - ok (bit dated?)
Hannah - lovely

Molly - cute
Emily - timeless classic
Cassie - gorgeous, I'm less keen on Cassandra though and Cassie does seem nickname-y
Jessica - my dogs name Grin
Eva - I prefer Eve
Jasmine - I've heard this referred to on here as chavvy, but I adore Jasmine. Lovely name
Hannah - timeless classic

Cassie is a bit different and distinctive, in a good way

Maybe Cassandra nn Cassie, then she has the choice of more formal if needed?

icapturethecastle · 23/01/2012 21:41

Jessica

bibbitybobbityhat · 23/01/2012 21:41

My two favourites are Hannah and Jasmine, in that order.

Hulababy · 23/01/2012 21:45

All of them are names that will work perfectly well for children and adults alike.

Molly - I like this name a lot. I am biased. I have a Mollie. :)
Emily - classic name, good choice
Cassie - less keen, feels like a nn for a longer name
Jessica - fine, not a favourite but not overly popular here and is pretty good
Eva - very popular round here, I like it pronounced as Ee-va rather than Ah-va
Jasmine - not keen tbh
Hannah - nice, good name; I like Anna too

Ooh, I like the suggestion of Eve someone posted :)

Elegant, feminine, simple and yet not overused... OP what do you think?

Sticklebug · 23/01/2012 21:57

Molly - definitely parlour maid
Emily - love it, classic and pretty
Cassie - not keen
Jessica - a name for a doll
Eva - ok
Jasmine - not keen
Hannah - a pallindrome, nice

hubbahubster · 24/01/2012 10:56

I don't think I said anything about unique names either! Just that some names are really overused. One of my friends has a Bessie, I thought that was a similar kind of name to those on your list, OP, but not so commonly used.

Jasmine is a beautiful name cant beat it!!
